What are skin lesions..?
Skin Lesions can include moles, cysts, warts or skin tags.
Most are benign and can be removed if they are painful, unsightly or restrict movement.
Treatment
Removal involves instillation of local anaesthetic with subsequent shave excision or cautery. Some lesions are more easily removed by hyfrecration (the use of a small electric current to cauterise the lesion)
The final result is a slightly lighter area of skin that is hardly visible. In the rare cases where the lesions recur, treatment is free within 1 year.
In the case of pigmented lesions, these are checked with a dermascope to ensure that they are not malignant and any suspicious lesions are referred.
